Degenerate State scraped DarkLyrics.com, crunched the numbers and analyzed a database of 222,623 metal songs by 7,634 bands spread over 22,314 albums. The data scientist found the top and the least heavy metal Words in English language.

“Metal lyrics seem focused on “time” and “life”, with a healthy dose of “blood”, “pain” and “eyes” thrown in. Even without knowing much about the genre, this is what you might expect.”
