China abandons one-child rule
China has decided to end its decades-long one-child controversial policy introduced by Deng Xiaoping in 1979 to slow the population growth rate. (News Agency Xinhua)

It is estimated that this policy to have prevented about 400 million births. In order to deal with an aging population and to “improve the balanced development of population”, families are allowed to have 2 children.
